At the age of 24, Katie Manning is trailblazing a better digital resource discovery experience to find support when it is needed the most.
Manning believes the first step to support a survivor begins with believing their story. With Beyond Believed, she’s on a mission to support survivors beyond belief.
Beyond Believed is a resource aggregator and digital support companion that helps people navigate emotional and legal support after suffering through an unfortunate incident that didn’t get their consent.
As a fellow survivor, Manning struggled to find resources to meet her various needs as she searched for answers to discover her rights and aid her healing journey. After engaging with fellow survivors, Manning realized the overwhelming demand for personally tailored solutions. So she took the chance to create a business that could help improve accessibility and end time-consuming searches. With this new website, survivors can make use of a one-of-a-kind, customized digital solution.
Manning has developed an innovative and comforting quiz finder to pair specific needs with survivor vetted resources. Resources are organizations, non-profits, or government agencies supporting and working with such survivors. They also are journal prompts, self-care techniques, recommended reading, and physical support shelters.
The database currently has over 100+ carefully selected resources spanning several categories. Each question narrows and filters the vast database. Resources recommended will be based on how the quiz is answered. Still, the company promises always to provide at least three resources, no matter how specific the quiz is responded to.
Beyond Believed will be launching this August.
